Hi, I'mTheodore.

Theodore Imonigie · Solutions architect

I build TeleKey on my own, in the open. Every line of it is on GitHub, under the MIT licence, and it is free with your own OpenAI key.

How it's built.

  • Hold, don't toggle

You always know when it is listening, because you are holding the key. Let go and it is sent; press Esc and nothing is.

  • Your key, your bill

With your own OpenAI key there is no account and nothing between you and OpenAI. Credits are there for anyone who would rather not manage a key.

  • Nothing kept that needn't be

Audio lives in memory and is zeroed after upload. Transcripts stay on your Mac, and switching history off deletes them.

  • In the open

Read the code, fork it, or tell me where it is wrong. Issues and pull requests are how TeleKey gets better.

Keep it free.

TeleKey costs nothing with your own key, and I'd like to keep it that way. If it saves you time, a coffee helps pay for the hosting and keeps the work going.

Found a bug or want a feature? Open an issue. It helps as much as a coffee.
